Teen Brain Project
OVERVIEW:
Because adolescence is a time of great change and development, students will explore the guiding question: What is a healthy teen brain? They will learn about:

TIMELINE:
January - March 2016: Students will investigate four topics (personality & emotions, mental health challenges, technology, and health) in two week cycles. Each week they will be with a different 6th grade teacher, reading, discussing, and creating a section of their “Teen Brain Book.”

- Read and respond to a variety of informational texts
- Represent information in a creative and interesting way
- Prepare and present a workshop for parents
PRODUCTS AND DELIVERABLES:
- Create an interactive and informational “accordion book” that demonstrates craftsmanship, creative design, and attention to detail
- Host a workshops for parents of teens to teach them everything they need to know about what is going on with teen brains
