Who am I? Who are We?
OVERVIEW:
Students will learn about themselves and their classmates through creating a classroom display composed of a timeline of their own family history along with a poem and portrait of the student. Students will display their individual timelines, artifacts, and poetry on cereal boxes that have been painted. These boxes will be hung across the room on a second timeline that will be organized by the date of students' artifacts. Later, students will be pairing with a partner whom they will interview and then compete with in the Newly Friend Game to show how much they have learned about one another.
